Cookie policy
How Caib (TASL Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on caib.io, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR transparency requirements.
Last updated: 26 March 2026. Align cookie names and durations with your analytics or Cloudflare configuration in practice.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. “Similar technologies” include local storage and pixels. They can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by tools we use).
2. How we use them
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- enable core site functionality and security;
- remember preferences where applicable;
- understand aggregate traffic and improve the site (where we use analytics); and
- support delivery through our hosting or CDN (for example Cloudflare), which may set security or performance cookies.
3. Types of cookies
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function (for example load balancing, security, remembering cookie consent choices). They do not require consent under PECR, but we list them for transparency.
Analytics and performance (optional)
If we enable analytics (for example to see which pages are viewed), those tools may set cookies or read usage data. Where required, we will ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set — typically via a banner or consent tool. If we only use aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics that do not use cookies or track individuals in a way that requires consent, we will document that here.
Functional
These remember choices (for example language). We will only use them where permitted (consent or legitimate interests as applicable).
4. Third parties
Our website may be delivered through infrastructure (for example Cloudflare) that sets cookies or processes requests for security and performance. Form providers or embedded content may also set their own cookies. See their policies for details.
5. Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or alert). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect site behaviour. For optional cookies, use our consent mechanism when provided, or browser controls.
6. Changes
We may update this policy when we change tools or legal requirements. Check the “Last updated” date.
